Andre Dedeco Almeida Coming to Xcel

Wednesday October 23rd, Andre Dedeco Almeida will be coming to host the normal adult classes at Xcel Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Dedeco is the founder of the Bestway Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association of which Xcel is proud to be a part of. Students from far and wide travel to attend seminars hosted by Dedeco, on this day Xcel students will have a chance to learn from the master for free. This class is open to current students only.

Coach Marcio Takes Home Gold at Pan Am’s

Coach Marcio won gold in his division at the Pan Am No Gi tournament held on Sept 28th, 2013. Coach Marcio took the gold in the men’s NoGi senior brown belt light division. But, he didn’t stop there. He went on to compete in the open weight division, where he battled guys much bigger than his 160lb self and took home 3rd place in the open division. All in all a good day for Marcio representing Team Xcel and Bestway/American Top Team. Now it’s onto worlds for Marcio.

With these victories Marcio is now ranked by the IBJJF #1 in the male, no gi, brown belt, senior 1, light division. #15 in the male, no gi, senior, open weight division.
