Darren Boucher

Darren Boucher – Owner/Instructor

I am a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Marcio Silva, a three-time World Champion, with nearly a decade of dedicated training. I have competed in numerous major tournaments, including IBJJF Worlds, Pan Championships, IBJJF Opens, and TapOut Cancer, earning notable results such as 1st place at the IBJJF Orlando Open as a brown belt and 2nd place at the IBJJF Boston Open as a black belt.

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of training under some of the sport’s most respected names, including Cyborg Abreu, Yuri Villefort, Marcio Silva, Igor Feliz, and Thaisio Feliz. My teaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamentals, technical precision, and real-world applicability for students of all levels.

Outside of jiu-jitsu, I am a call firefighter for the Town of Mattapoisett, a professional dog trainer with over 13 years of experience, and a father of two daughters, both of whom have trained in jiu-jitsu for over seven years. These roles shape my disciplined, safety-focused, and family-oriented approach to training.
